Veterans of Wars All-American Post 10904
Welcome to your online resource for everything related to our VFW Post... and there's a lot! We're comprised of eligible veterans of overseas combat areas and our family members, who serve as our Auxiliary. The Post and Auxiliary work seamlessly to accomplish incredible things together.
We meet at the Coffee County Veterans Building: 130 Shelton Road in Manchester, Tennessee; on the first Monday of each month (except for December). Free dinner begins at 6 PM, followed by our meeting. The Veterans Building is a tobacco and alcohol-free facility, although a covered smoking area is provided. This creates a clean, relaxed place of military honor. Our meetings are well-attended, lively and informative.
If you meet eligibility requirements, you'll find no better VFW Post in Tennessee than right here! Life Membership in VFW pays for itself with the incredible benefits members enjoy... but the best part is the camaraderie we share together. We all get along, form lasting relationships and truly care about one another here... and have fun serving veterans, their families and our community!
This short introductory video is a little dated and, while an update is in the works, it sums up who were are and what makes us so different. For the latest information and news, visit our Post 10904 Facebook Page using the icon in the upper left, or lower right, corner of the page!

VFW Seeking Exceptional Teachers to Honor
Manchester’s Veterans of Foreign Wars All-American Post 10904 Commander Kimberly King is pleased to announce the kick-off of this year’s VFW Smart/Maher Citizenship Education Teacher of the Year nomination period.
Without our nation’s veterans, America wouldn't be the great nation it is today. Our youth deserve to learn about our rich history, traditions and the role of our veterans in creating and shaping America.
Each year, the Veterans of Foreign Wars selects elementary, middle, and high school teachers to participate in this program.
Current certified/licensed teachers of grades K-12 can be nominated by fellow teachers, students, family members, other interested individuals, or even nominate themselves. Teachers who promote civic responsibility, flag etiquette and patriotism, and strive to help students develop a better understanding of democratic values and beliefs, are prime candidates for this award. Nominations are to be submitted to the local VFW Post.
Nominated teachers compete at the local VFW Post level with one winner in each of the K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 grade levels advancing to the District level competition; with those winners advancing to the State level. First Place State Teachers of the Year then advance to VFW National Headquarters for final competition at the national level.
The VFW enacted the Teacher of the Year program in 1999 as a way to identify and recognize America’s best educators, annually recognizing the nation’s top teachers who instill a sense of national pride in students by regularly teaching citizenship education topics and promoting America’s history and traditions effectively.
The deadline for nominations is October 31st. Those interested in submitting a teacher nomination are encouraged to contact VFW Post 10904 Commander Kimberly King at (251) 554-8836 or by email at flygal46@yahoo.com for more information.
