Old Stone Fort Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10904 was chartered in January 1990. The Post later became part of the Coffee County Veterans Association (CCVA), comprised of delegates from American Legion Post 78; DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Tennessee Chapter 90; and VFW Post 10904. CCVA takes care of shared responsibilities, such as liability insurance on our many public events; and utilities and maintenance of the Coffee County Veterans Building at 130 Shelton Road in Manchester, Tennessee. All three veterans organizations meet in this building, which is a showcase of military history and patriotic exhibits.

In 2021 under the leadership of Commander Kimberly King, VFW Post 10904 became the first Tennessee VFW Post in history to earn the coveted All-American Post designation for three consecutive years. The All-American Post distinction is awarded to top-performing VFW Posts: All-American Posts are considered the "very best of the best". Year after year, we shattered our own records with award after award. By 2025, VFW Post 10904 had earned the All-American Post designation for seven consecutive years; the VFW Tennessee All-State Post designation for eight consecutive years; the VFW Tennessee Community Service Award multiple times; and four VFW National Awards of Merit.

In March 2026, VFW Post 10904 was honored to receive the Governor's Volunteer Stars Award as the top-performing nonprofit organization in the East Tennessee region. Only one nonprofit, from each of Tennessee's three Grand Regions (East, Central, and West) can receive this award in any one year. For a VFW Post, of any size, to receive an award of this magnitude is evidence of our drive to serve veterans, their families, and our community we so love.
